Q: What are you doing today, and how did your time at Butler help shape your path?

I currently work in pharmaceutical sales with one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. My time at Butler and my involvement on the livestock judging team were truly life-changing. Those experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally, strengthened my confidence, and provided opportunities to build meaningful connections. The network and skills I developed at Butler have opened countless doors throughout my career.

Q: What does being a Butler alum mean to you?

Being a Butler alum means carrying with me the lessons, relationships, and experiences that helped shape the person I am today. One of the most meaningful quotes I heard while at Butler was, “The legacy gets you through the door, but the people make you stay.” Looking back, that couldn’t be more true. Butler’s reputation and opportunities initially drew me in, but it was the people who left the lasting impact. Through my time on the livestock judging team, I was surrounded by mentors, coaches, teammates, and friends who challenged me to grow, believe in myself, and strive for more than I thought was possible. Those experiences helped build my confidence and taught me the importance of relationships, hard work, and investing in others. The connections I made at Butler have extended far beyond graduation and continue to influence both my personal life and professional career. When I reflect on my time at Butler, I'm reminded that success is rarely achieved alone. The people I met there helped open doors, encouraged me through challenges, and played a role in the opportunities I've been fortunate to pursue. Being a Butler alum means being part of a community that continues to support and inspire long after you leave campus, and for that, I will always be grateful.
