Q: What originally brought you to Butler Community College?
A: I attended Butler because it was affordable and close to home. I was able to commute back and forth.
Q: Is there a faculty member, mentor, class, or experience at Butler that had a lasting impact on you?
A: I think the most impactful experience was being around the volleyball team. My sister played volleyball at Butler so I went to all the practices and games. I made a lot of friends and it really shaped my experience.
Q: What are you doing today, and how did your time at Butler help shape your path?
A: I came to work at Butler after receiving my undergraduate degree from Emporia State University. I never thought I would spend my entire professional career here, but I am now in my 29th year as a Butler employee.
Q: What does being a Butler alum mean to you?
A: I am so proud to be a Butler alumna. Butler not only impacted me as a student - all three of my children also attended and graduated from Butler. Because Butler means so much to me and my family, my husband and I have established an endowed scholarship to assist other students who choose Butler.
